The Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking a well organized and community-minded Administrative Assistant to support their daily operations.
The GPRC plays a key role in bringing businesses together, advocating for their success, by creating opportunities that support a strong local economy. You will work closely with the Executive Director to ensure the Chamber operates at its highest standard, while serving as the first point of contact for members, visitors, and community partners. With the Visitor Information Centre at the root of its location, economic development and cultural/tourist attractions play a crucial role in the Chamber’s values. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small team environment, takes pride in operational excellence, and enjoys supporting community initiatives that strengthen local businesses.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Key responsibilities include:
·       Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Director.
·       Serve as first point of contact for members, visitors, and community inquiries.
·       Support membership enrollment, renewals, and member communications.
·       Coordinate administrative records, correspondence, and documentation.
·       Assist with financial administration and coordination with the bookkeeper.
·       Support preparation for Board meetings and organizational reporting materials.
·       Assist with coordinating tasks related to Chamber events and programs.
·       Maintain accurate membership and event records.
·       Liaise with marketing team to assist with website and social releases.
·       Periodically support the Visitor Information Centre.
·       Ensure the Visitor Information Centre is engaging, welcoming and attractive.

You have a desire to support the local business community with an interest in local tourism.
Experience that will help you succeed in this role includes:

·       Experience in an administrative or coordination role.
·       Strong organizational and time management skills.
·       Comfort working independently during regular office hours.
·       Basic financial literacy and experience coordinating financial documentation.
·       Experience supporting events, programs, or community initiatives.
·       Comfort interacting with members, community partners, and visitors.
·       Post-secondary education in administration, business, communications, or a related field is considered an asset, and equivalent experience will be considered.
This role is based in Stony Plain and includes regular engagement throughout the Greater Parkland region, including community meetings, events, and occasional evening/weekend commitments. A competitive compensation package is offered.
