The Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking an energetic and community-

minded Executive Director to lead the organization and support the success of businesses

across the City of Spruce Grove, the Town of Stony Plain, Parkland County, and the surrounding

Region. The Chamber plays an important role in bringing businesses together, advocating for

their success, and creating opportunities that support a strong local economy. As Executive

Director, you will lead the Chamber’s operations, initiatives, and partnerships while serving as a

visible and trusted voice for the business community.

Success in this role includes a growing and engaged Chamber membership, strong partnerships

within the business community, successful events that create meaningful business connections,

and sound financial management that supports the long-term sustainability of the organization.


Key responsibilities include

Implement the Chamber’s strategic priorities.

Support the Board of Directors in effective governance.

Coordinate staff, volunteers, and partners.

Build relationships with business leaders, community partners, and government.

Represent the Chamber within the business community.

Support membership growth and engagement.

Lead the planning and delivery of Chamber events and programs.

Create opportunities that connect businesses and strengthen the region.

Monitor financial performance and report to the Board.

Maintain sound financial controls and identify revenue opportunities.

Oversee day to day administration, communications, and member services.

Ensure consistent and professional brand representation.


What You Bring

You bring strong leadership, relationship building, organizational skills, and expertise, such as:

Experience in a nonprofit, chamber, association, or economic development environment

Leadership experience managing staff, programs, or operations

Experience working with a Board of Directors or governance structure

Strong financial literacy including budgeting and reporting

Experience planning events or community initiatives

Strong communication and public speaking skills

Post-secondary education in business, public administration, community development,

or a related field is considered an asset. Equivalent experience to be also contemplated.


This role is based in Stony Plain, AB, and includes regular activities all over the Greater Parkland

region, including community meetings, events, and occasional evening/weekend commitments.
