Built in 1918, this has always been a general store and serviced the needs of the local farming community. Now restored to its vintage charm, the store has something for the discriminating shopper, rural and urban alike. The mother and daughter team who own and operate the business wanted to protect and share country life and they wished to showcase the many and varied talents of local makers. They led the Hamlet beautification project where you can now spend a satisfying time taking a walk down the country road reading the signs that tell of days gone by, sit on the benches in front of the garden and watch the trains or count the birds, and you can browse the shop where you will find untold treasures. Make this a regular destination. You are always welcome.
