Program and Development Lead

PROGRAM AND DEVELOPMENT LEAD SKYDANCER INDIGENOUS CULTURAL CENTRE
SPRUCE GROVE, AB

The Program and Development Lead is a full-time contractor position, with an entrepreneurial Indigenous not-for-profit organization, to coordinate exciting enterprises like cultural tourism, food sales, venue redevelopment, and showcase Indigenous art forms and interpretive displays.

With our proven track record of providing exemplary programs that preserve and promote Indigenous culture and heritage, you will be responsible for:

• Grant writing and fund development
• Planning, implementing and evaluating culturally informed programming
• Developing and executing strategic plans and organizational priorities
• Devising and adhering to annual budgets and financial plans
• Advocating for initiatives that advance Indigenous cultural preservation and community development

Qualifications:

• Formal education, lived experience and community-based knowledge relevant to Indigenous culture, community development and program delivery
• Demonstrated ability to work with and respectfully engage our Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Indigenous communities
• Experience in cultural program coordination, community engagement, project management and relationship building
