Small Business Week Keynote Speaker Celebration
Small Business Week is an annual celebration of entrepreneurship that the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) has organized for over 42 years. Every year, close to 10,000 entrepreneurs gather to learn, network and celebrate the people building businesses across the country.
As the economy roars back to life, it's become clear that the past 18 months have fast-forwarded long-term disruption. From growing labour shortages and the rise of remote work, to the expansion of digital business and increasingly frequent climate events; Canadian entrepreneurs will need to focus on innovation, inclusion, and sustainability to maintain their growth amidst these changes.
For Small Business Week 2021, let's join together to discuss the opportunities that lie ahead for Canadian entrepreneurs.
This year, the GPRC has organized a virtual event with Keynote Speaker, Jennifer Barroll. Barroll is a passionate communicator. With a background as an actor, media personality, and stand-up comedian, Barroll uses her quick wit and energetic personality to deliver practical leadership training and communication tools. Having worked with some of the biggest brands, including Nascar, Red Bull, and McDonald's, she helps both individuals and companies reach their full potential.
About Jennifer Barroll
Barroll spent years working in the technology industry before starting her own successful marketing and communications company. She also co-developed a successful leadership and mentorship program for youth at risk, the Calgary Youth Justice Society’s In The Lead program. It’s still going strong today with thousands of participants. In 2015, she was named to Avenue Magazine's "40 Under 40" list in recognition of her work.
