Topic: Chamber Fall Update
Norman started with the Chamber exactly one year ago . His presentation will cover where we have been, where we are and where we are heading as a business organization. The "Gala" and "Our Region Our Voice" events the Chamber's new Learning Centre will be front and centre.
Speaker: Norman S. Leach (Hons), CAE
Norman Leach is the Executive Director of the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce. (The Chamber)
Norman’s successes include heading up two of Canada’s largest Chambers of Commerce (the Manitoba and Alberta Chambers of Commerce) and then the American Chamber of Commerce – Canada West.
Norman has managed operations, communications and marketing for a large number of companies and non-profit agencies. He has a diverse business background including agriculture, government, non-profit, health care, security and training and education.
He also established the Alberta Trade Office in Mexico City, was President of Grey Cup 2000 in Calgary, an advisor to two provincial Cabinet Ministers and is a bestselling author with 12 published books to his credit, and has written a number of national and international business columns.
He was awarded the Canada 125 medal, the Queens Jubilee medal, The Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Alberta Centennial Medal for his community service. and is an honorary life member of the Canadian Association of Veterans in UN Peacekeeping and The Manitoba Chamber of Commerce.
Norman also received the Leadership Award from the Canadian Association of Manufacturers and Exporters for Export Development.
Norman leads classes on the future, marketing and writing at colleges and universities across Canada.
