SUMMARY:2023 MP Dane Lloyd\, Meeting for Chamber Members
DESCRIPTION:Join the GPRC and Special Guest\, MP Dane Lloyd\, Conservative Member of Parliament for Sturgeon River-Parkland\, at Rosenthal Hall in Parkland County for a high-level update on significant federal issues and his efforts as Member of Parliament\, followed by a Q&A session. This is an informal event where members of the GPRC are welcome to network and ask Mr. Lloyd questions.\n\n\n\nThis in-person event is exclusive to Chamber members only.\n\n\n****************************************************************************\nDane Lloyd\, M.P. (Sturgeon River-Parkland)\n\n \n\nDane Lloyd was elected Member of Parliament for Sturgeon River-Parkland in 2017. He was re-elected in 2019 and in 2021. Dane and his wife Raechel along with their children\, Brooke and Alexander\, split their time between Ottawa and their home in Stony Plain.\n\n \n\nIn 2021\, Dane was appointed Shadow Minister for Emergency Preparedness\, a portfolio that has been elevated given recent and serious natural disasters and the Government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also serves on the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security. Dane holds a commission as a lieutenant in the Canadian Infantry Reserves. \n\n \n\nDane's priorities are to stand up for the values and prosperity of his neighbours in Sturgeon River-Parkland\, a community that is the home of farmers\, energy workers\, small business owners\, teachers\, nurses and many other professions who want to make a better life for their families. He won't stop fighting for Alberta's values against a Liberal Government that is out of touch with the reality of rural and small-town Albertans.
